A childhood in a West African village gave me plenty of time to read, and so I grew up on wonderful authors like Joan Aiken, Leon Garfield and Rosemary Sutcliff. The bright colours of illustrations to fairy tales, legends and medieval history - worlds away from the dry grass lands and termite hills around me - inspired me to write my own stories.
I have had pieces published in Ink Stains 9, a Dark Literary Fiction anthology, The Forgotten and the Fantastical series and the JL Anthology series. Currently working on a pair of historical novels, I have a head and notebook full of other ideas featuring changelings, nuns, the Peasant's Revolt and the local community college. The last two are linked.
I love tea shops, book shops, period drama, castles and trees.
